Dr. Joseph Cook grew up in Highland, Utah on a 25-acre farm with cows, horses, dogs, cats… and just about every other animal you can name! His love for animals and insects started from a young age, but it was not until his undergraduate studies that he discovered the field of Veterinary Medicine. He pursued a Biology degree from Utah Valley University, then earned his DVM degree from Western University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Cook is married to his high-school sweetheart, and they have 3 beautiful daughters and a girl rescue doggo (German Shepherd/Husky) named Sylvie. He is a mountain man at heart and enjoys the outdoors whether it is camping, hiking, fishing or just enjoying a beautiful mountain view. He is an avid Lord of the Rings fan and enjoys a good chess game!
Dr. Cook loves surgeries and interacting with clients to find the best possible solution and treatments for their family members. He is anxious to serve the Zion Veterinary Hospital community and cannot wait to meet you and his patients.
